Our Pledge

Here at Aayan Medical, we pledge to do everything we can to ensure that we are net zero by 2050. We work with suppliers who are committed to making the same economical decisions as us and to supporting the eradication of modern slavery.

Our Vision

At Aayan Medical Imaging, we have established ourselves at the forefront of diagnostic and technological distribution. We have built successful working relationships with clients and suppliers globally, allowing us to trade around the world, importing and exporting goods. In our everyday roles, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint and work towards a more sustainable future while still delivering excellent quality. Aayan Medical prides itself on working with suppliers who are passionate about sustainability and carbon reduction. We actively support and encourage our staff to come up with new ways of working and ideas on how we can become more sustainable, from recycling at the head office to ensuring that we use minimal but necessary packaging when shipping our goods.

Helping Us Reach Our Goal

While we know that we cannot solely reach our carbon reduction goal alone, we are using a combination of tools provided to support businesses in reaching their targets. From simple steps within our head office to spreading the message to the suppliers we work with.

As part of our vision to reach our net-zero goal, AMI will continue to work with suppliers and manufacturers that are committed to ensuring that sustainability is at the forefront of their business model. This can include, but is not limited to, plastic reduction, withdrawal of all single-use plastics, utilization of deliveries, and ensuring that route planning has been optimized to provide carbon reduction savings. Where possible, we aim to use alternative fuels. Regarding textiles, we aim to support repairs and minor alterations to ensure products do not go to landfill unnecessarily. AMI continually strives to improve the environmental footprint of its business.

As part of our pledge, AMI prides itself on only working with companies and manufacturers that have a zero tolerance for slavery. While reducing our carbon footprint and increasing our sustainability, the social value benefits can support many individuals by delivering opportunities such as apprenticeships, skills development programs, along with driving the uptake to remove the gender pay gap and promote the real living wage, among other economic benefits.

The use of the evergreen supplier tool enables alignment with the NHS’s net-zero and sustainable ambitions. By committing to this, we are supporting the NHS on their journey. By completing the assessment, this then generates a sustainability maturity score against the NHS’s priorities, supporting the outlining of their current position and next steps.
